Job Title: Business Development Leader for MedTech Robotics

This is a new role within Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) that will focus on Sales and Advisory to relaunch the US Business and Practice. The Sales Team will be led by a Chief Experience Officer with over 20 years of experience in Medical Devices, AI, System Technology, and Pharmaceuticals, including 6+ years of entrepreneurship.

We are seeking a passionate and driven senior Industry leader with a minimum of 13 years of experience to serve as MedTech Business Development to our customer stakeholders. The ideal candidate will consult on product development strategies, accelerate offerings, and design for next-generation solutions.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, guide engineering and development for complex medical devices and equipment/systems, and work with functional areas across the organization (MedTech COE, AI COE, Manufacturing, R&D/NPI, Quality & Regulatory) to deliver best-in-class solutions and capabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive TCS pipeline through sales growth in surgical and industrial Robotics.
  • Engage with TCS MedTech Leaders in strategy definition and planning.
  • Provide Industry Advisory to MedTech customers in Medical Devices and Diagnostic solutions, focused on electronic and embedded systems.
  • Act as an orchestrator across TCS COEs to identify best and most optimized teams to work on client engagements, building teams as revenue grows.
  • Participate and represent TCS as a thought leader in roundtable and client discussions, continually raising TCS Brand and Subject Matter Expertise (SME).
  • Lead executive-level client steering committee meetings, manage conflict resolution among various stakeholders/staff to successfully support change management initiatives.
  • Drive discovery exercises within medical devices organizations (customers) to baseline current system challenges and future product needs, identify gaps, problems, concerns, develop a roadmap to resolve such issues, and execute comprehensive programs to implement the plan. Monitor post-implementation.
  • Where needed, in an owner or supporter role, RFP responses, drafts proposals, plans phased project execution, develops detailed project plans, and manages program budgets and costs; fosters shared accountability for the results-based implementation plan.
Qualifications:
  • Expertise in surgical Robotics.
  • Industrial Robotics is a plus, not required.
  • AI and Product/System Architecture in multiple areas like general surgery and Orthopedics.
  • Experience in Business strategy, Robot operating system (ROS), Mechatronics and systems, engineering.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory and Quality standards/frameworks in MedTech, both Medical Devices and IVDFDA, EU MDD, MDR/IVDR, IEC 80601, IEC 62061, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, ISO 62304.
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end MedTech ecosystem and stakeholders.
  • Strong team building skills, strategy, and operations thinking, solution & result orientation.
  • Ability to travel 30-40%.
