Job Overview

The Service Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that customer expectations are consistently met through effective communication and support. This position involves prioritizing service requests and coordinating directly with field personnel to enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with service customers to ensure their needs are addressed while facilitating the transition to new field service tools.
  • Generate new service jobs within the operating system and assist in closing work tickets, ensuring accuracy in invoicing for services rendered.
  • Support the scheduling and dispatching of field technicians based on the urgency of service calls, available resources, and customer requirements. Accurate data entry in the operating system is essential.
  • Utilize service management software effectively to oversee service activities, including opening service requests, scheduling preventive maintenance visits, and updating customer records.
  • Assist Project Managers and the Service Manager in manpower planning and scheduling by developing work plans and preventive maintenance schedules using Microsoft planning tools.
  • Provide administrative assistance to Service Programmers and Project Managers by managing documentation necessary for closing work tickets and service projects.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while continuously measuring and improving the quality of service delivery.
  • Perform additional tasks as required, including mastering all functions of the new operating system through various training methods.

Qualifications
  • Experience with established ERP systems in a service-oriented environment (training available).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft AX is preferred, though other systems like Siebel are acceptable.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, with the ability to handle a variety of tasks.
  • Background in a service environment where technicians are dispatched from a central location.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to represent the organization ethically and professionally to customers and external contacts.
  • Ability to convey technical information clearly to relevant stakeholders.
  • A positive demeanor and a sense of humor are essential.
  • Capable of working collaboratively within a team while being self-motivated to meet deadlines and complete tasks.
