POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting directly to the Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Financial Planning Analyst will take charge of developing and managing thorough financial evaluations, which include variance and trend assessments, performance reporting against objectives, and various ad-hoc analyses. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in data management and collection, possess a curious mindset regarding performance drivers, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver timely and relevant reports. This position offers significant exposure to Senior Leadership, requiring the ability to distill complex narratives into concise executive summaries. Additionally, the Financial Planning Analyst will play a crucial role in formulating monthly forecasts and annual budgets.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate and present precise and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual performance summaries.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze extensive datasets to provide actionable insights that support strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the formulation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain intricate financial models in Excel to accommodate various business scenarios and initiatives.
  • Conduct detailed cost analyses and identify opportunities for cost reduction to improve profitability.
  • Perform market research and competitor analysis to guide business strategies and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with various departments and business partners on special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, or Economics) with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or a High School Diploma/equivalent with over 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a financial analyst role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Data reporting experience using Power BI.
  • Background in the industrial sector.
