About the Role:

The E.W. Scripps Company, a prominent ABC affiliate, is seeking a skilled visual content creator. Our award-winning photography team is dedicated to innovation and storytelling. We empower our photographers to engage with the community while mastering essential skills such as shooting, editing, and executing impactful live broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce and edit visual content across various platforms.
  • Manage and operate live broadcasting equipment, including microwave and satellite systems.
  • Collaborate with newsroom staff to develop and enhance news stories.
  • Execute additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

A degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in lighting techniques and computer-based editing software.
  • Experience with live microwave truck operations.
  • Strong understanding of creativity, editorial judgment, and journalistic ethics.
  • Proficient in posting content to the company’s digital platforms.
  • Able to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
