The Role

We are seeking an early seller who can join our team and contribute to revolutionizing the $100T payments space. As a sales professional, you will have the opportunity to grow into strategic sales, head a region or sector, and enjoy unlimited upside. This role requires tenacity, creativity, critical thinking, and sales skills, including discovery, consensus-building, multithreading, and closing.

Responsibilities
  • Identify suitable prospects using your network, outreach, and data sources.
  • Set meetings, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage the end-to-end sales cycle to close new business.
  • Achieve sales goals by assessing customer needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, including presentations, product demos, negotiations, and closing legal agreements.
  • Prepare professional reports, external blurbs, case studies, slide decks, proposals, and other documentation as required for executive-level presentations.
  • Experiment with and implement new tools, metrics, and campaigns, working cross-functionally with the founding team.
About You
  • You have 3-7 years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience.
  • Your product has been something repeatable, such as SaaS, data, or market research.
  • Your buyer has been finance, operations, IT, cybersecurity, or compliance, ideally C-level.
  • You can own a full sales motion, including prospecting, discovery, consensus-building, multithreading, and closing.
  • You must be able to leverage your existing network or have network-building skills.
  • You are tenacious and creative, with critical thinking skills and EQ.
  • Fintech and/or startup experience is a plus.
  • Other pluses include knowledge of prospecting tools, creating sales playbooks, and selling SaaS products to venture capital, private equity, or institutions/endowments.

This role is primarily remote, but candidates can also report to work in NYC and receive relocation assistance. Walrus Security, Inc. offers competitive compensation and benefits, including salary, commission, equity, paid medical insurance, company contribution to wellness, good coverage for dependents, dental, retirement, relocation assistance, and unlimited PTO.

The OTE for this position ranges from $180k to $280k (depending on location and seniority), split between set base salary and performance-driven commission. This position also has a substantial equity component, not included in the stated OTE. This information is provided per the New York City Human Rights Law.
