pDevelopmentandAlumniRelationssupportsJohnsHopkins'focusonresearch,teaching,andpatientcare,anditsroleasanationalandgloballeaderinhighereducation.WecreateandfosterenduringrelationshipsthatresultinadvocacyandphilanthropicsupportforJohnsHopkinsUniversity&Medicine;strengtheningtheinstitutionthroughpartnershipswithdonors,alumni,volunteerleaders,faculty,students,staff,andpatients./ppJohnsHopkinsUniversitysupportsaflexibleworkmodelwhichincludesfourdifferentworkmodalities.Thisrolehasahybridworkarrangementwithanonsitepresenceof3daysperweek.Themanagerwillconfirmtheteam'scoreonsitedayswherethemajority/allteammemberswillworkintheoffice.Employeeswhotravelonuniversitybusinesscancountthosedaystowardstheironsitedays./ppTheFundforJohnsHopkinsMedicine(FJHM)isthededicateddevelopmentandalumnirelationsteamsupportingtheentitiesthatcompriseJohnsHopkinsMedicine(JHM),includingclinicaldepartments,hospitals,satelliteclinics,andtheSchoolofMedicine.WecontributetoJohnsHopkinsMedicine'smissionofpatientcare,research,andeducationthroughsecuringphilanthropy,buildingandmaintainingdonorandalumnirelationships,andsupportinginstitutionalpriorities.FJHMpartnerscloselywithinstitutionalleaders,faculty,andclinicianstoengagealumni,patients,donors,andprospectsinJHM'sworktoadvancemedicineandimprovethehumancondition./ppTheInstituteforBasicBiomedicalSciencesisengagedinatransformativeopportunitytodevelopandimplementavisionforanewLifeSciencesBuildingandCorridor(LSB/LSC)thatwillcreateanew,modernizedecosystemfordiscoveryresearchthatspansmultipleschools,departments,divisions,andprogramsacrossJohnsHopkinsUniversityandMedicine.Thegoalsofthisprojectareto:/pulliSolvethemostchallengingquestionsabouthowbiologysustainslifeanddysfunctiongivesrisetodisease/liliRevitalizeanddevelopbasicscienceresearchfacilitiesalongtheLifeSciencesCorridor/liliCreateTechnologyHubsandScientificNeighborhoodsthatspantheLifeSciencesCorridortoturbochargethepace,scope,andimpactofresearch/li/ulpToharnessthefullpotentialofthisopportunityandsecurephilanthropicsupporttoactivatethesegoals,theSeniorAssociateDirectorwillworkwiththeDirectorofDevelopmenttoexecutefundraisingstrategiesthatsupporttheresearchandeducationalneedsoftheInstituteforBasicBiomedicalSciencesandtheLSB/LSC.TheSeniorAssociateDirectorwillidentify,cultivate,solicit,andstewardannualandmajorgifts,primarilyfocusingonpastdonors,graduatealumni,andformerpostdocs,andunaffiliatedprospects.TheSeniorAssociateDirectorwillworkwiththeDirectorofDevelopmentandIBBSfaculty,aswellasacrossdepartmentsandschools,andwillleadfundraisingeffortsforselectprogramsandinitiatives.Travelisrequired./ppbKeyresponsibilities:/b/pulliDevelopacomprehensiveunderstandingandkeenabilitytoverbalizetheresearchandeducationalmissionsandclinicalimplicationsoftheInstituteforBasicBiomedicalSciences,thenewLifeSciencesBuildingandCorridor,andtheircomponents,includingninedepartmentsandfourscientificneighborhoods./liliDevelopacomprehensiveunderstandingofalltraineeprogramsundertheauspicesoftheIBBSandworkwiththeDirectorofDevelopment,programdirectors,andDirectoroftheIBBSinbuildingandimplementingacomprehensivedevelopmentandengagementplan./liliLeadfundraisingforspecificdepartmentsandprogramswithinIBBSandtheLSB/LSCasassignedreflectingspecificdimensionsofthetripartitemissionofJohnsHopkinsMedicine(e.g.,research,teaching).Thisincludesgraduatefellowshipstosupportthenextgenerationofscientistsintraining./liliAssistwithcoordinationandstaffingoftheIBBSAdvisoryCouncil,aswellaswiththeidentificationandrecruitmentstrategyfornewmembers,inpartnershipwiththeDirectorofDevelopment,thedepartmentdirectors,andtheDirectoroftheIBBS./liliStaff,educate,andtrainfacultyandstafftoengagethemasfundraisingpartnersandsuccessfullyguidethemthroughthedevelopmentprocess./liliUtilizeanannualworkplantotrackprospectsandactivity.WorkwiththeDirectorofDevelopmenttoadvanceacomprehensiveprogramtoidentifyandqualifynewprospectswithafocusonthegraduatealumnipool,manageapipelineofnewprospectsandcurrentdonors,initiategiftstrategies,cultivaterelationships,andsolicit,upgrade,andstewardprospectsthroughpersonalandvirtualvisitsandwrittencommunication./liliBuildandmanageaportfoliothroughthefulldonorcycle,withthegoaltopersonallysolicit,orarrangeforvolunteerorinstitutionalsolicitation,formajorgiftsupporttofundtheprioritiesoftheIBBSandLSB/LSC.Theportfoliofocusesonindividualdonorswithcapacityinthe5-7figurerange./liliFostercross-divisionalpartnershipswithotherdepartmentsintheSchoolofMedicine,otherschoolsandprogramsinvolvedintheLSB/LSC,RegionalDevelopment,FoundationRelations,ProspectManagementandResearch,andGiftPlanningtoidentifyjoint-interestdonoropportunities./liliTravelasneededforprospectvisits;upto25%oftimeannually./li/ulpMinimumQualifications:/pulliBachelor'sdegree./liliFiveyearsprofessionalrelatedexperience./liliExperiencesolicitingmajorgiftspreferred,ideallyinanacademic/medicalsetting./liliAbilitytoworkindependently,manageprojects,anddeterminepriorities,andtomaintainahighdegreeofprofessionalismandconfidentiality./liliAbilitytoworkwithbroadlydiv
