About the Role

MasTec Industrial is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and implement comprehensive safety programs to prevent injuries and illnesses on construction sites.
  • Conduct Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to mitigate risks.
  • Train and Educate Employees: Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures, protocols, and best practices.
  • Investigate Incidents: Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with project teams to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of project planning and execution.
  • Develop and Maintain Safety Policies and Procedures: Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Monitor and Report Safety Metrics: Monitor and report safety metrics to senior management and stakeholders to ensure safety performance is meeting company standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in construction safety management.
  • Certifications and Training: Possess certifications such as CHST, CMSP, or OSHA 30, and have completed training in areas such as fall protection, confined space entry, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety software.
