Position Summary:
The Account Manager will serve as the representative of AWP Safety to both potential and current clients within the utility, construction, engineering, and event sectors across the designated regional area. This role is pivotal in sustaining existing business relationships while actively seeking new opportunities through direct and telephonic engagement. The Account Manager will also be tasked with gathering and analyzing industry trends to maintain a competitive edge in the traffic control sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically formulate and execute effective sales growth strategies within the assigned territory, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Proactively manage a current pipeline of opportunities, with a strong emphasis on expanding new business.
  • Establish and nurture a comprehensive pipeline of sales prospects to surpass sales targets for new projects.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while fostering partnerships as new sales opportunities arise.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers within accounts to build professional relationships.
  • Conduct follow-up activities with clients to ensure satisfaction with our brand and operational performance.
  • Collect and relay insights on industry trends and competitive activities within the assigned territory.
  • Oversee relationships with both internal and external clients: negotiate sales agreements, rate adjustments, and renewals while maintaining accurate sales forecasts and CRM updates.
  • Collaborate closely with the inside sales team to ensure a seamless experience when providing quotes and information.
  • Identify high-potential accounts and convert them into growth opportunities.
  • Work in partnership with Billing, Collections, and Accounts Receivable to ensure an exceptional customer experience with accurate and timely billing.
  • Collaborate with Regional Operations Management to enhance growth and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Align with Regional Sales Managers to support National Account channel partners.
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Maintain and update Salesforce account information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record in customer service.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales environments.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory approximately 75% of the time.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, presentation, and sales abilities.
  • Strong sales instincts, self-motivated, persistent, and focused.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage the demands of this role, including a workweek exceeding 45 hours, with variable hours based on workload and travel.
