This position involves conducting regular assessments of ongoing projects to verify compliance with established standards. Responsibilities include the installation and upkeep of sediment and erosion control measures at various construction sites. The specialist will also contribute to the formulation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) tailored for diverse construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field inspections of construction and industrial sites within a designated area.
  • Review construction schedules, plans, and plats to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and removal of sediment and erosion control systems.
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment as necessary for field operations.
  • Evaluate construction sites to ensure adherence to stormwater regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Interpret and communicate relevant regulations and permits to stakeholders including contractors and inspectors.
  • Design and assess best management practices for effective stormwater management.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, noting any violations or issues encountered.
  • Provide guidance to property owners and contractors regarding stormwater compliance.
  • Support senior staff in project coordination and information dissemination.
  • Participate in training sessions for contractors and project personnel on environmental compliance.
  • Engage in community outreach and educational workshops related to sediment and erosion control.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a smoke-free environment and requires adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment. The role involves a mix of office duties and fieldwork, with occasional travel for project assignments.

Qualifications:
