Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and confirm insurance coverage, informing patients of any outstanding deductibles prior to their scheduled appointments.
- Process authorization requests for tests and procedures performed within the office.
- Determine if prior authorization is required by the patient's insurance plan.
- Investigate claim denials and take appropriate actions to resolve authorization-related issues.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather essential documentation for billing purposes.
- Assist patients with inquiries related to their billing and insurance matters.
- Evaluate patients' financial situations and help establish budget-friendly payment plans.
- Review patient payments before finalizing statements for submission.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of the office.
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, strictly adhering to HIPAA regulations.
