Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Lonestar Forklift is a leading material handling equipment dealership with a strong presence in Texas. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team in Midland, Odessa, or El Paso, Texas.

Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the West Texas sales territory, ensuring deals are closed and sales targets are achieved by a team of Sales Representatives. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5-7 years of proven outside sales experience, with prior experience in a sales management capacity strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the West Texas sales territory, including overseeing a team of outside Sales Representatives
  • Ensure each Sales Representative is effectively managing their time, utilizing territory quadrant management and managing CRM activity
  • Review sales goals for major sales meetings, and ensure a structured agenda is prepared
  • Review Sales Representative opportunities, discussing objections and next steps; understand what deals are closest to closing and focus on removing objections/obstacles to get them closed
  • Review new accounts opened by Sales Representatives to ensure all required information is complete
  • Partner with team members to monitor progress on Target Major Accounts and determine action plans; support with developing customer accounts to drive market share and team growth
  • Host weekly Team Sales Meetings and provide a Weekly Planner highlighting key topics
  • Review CRM report card and clean up any issues
  • Review inventory levels and manage incoming equipment
  • Review any pending approval quotes for Sales Representatives
  • Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of proven outside sales experience required
  • Prior experience in a sales management capacity strongly preferred, including managing and coaching team members
  • Strong ability to negotiate tactfully and close deals
  • An understanding of financial statements
  • Goal-oriented and motivated to achieve results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • A true team player who can also work effectively autonomously and with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel) and CRM systems
  • Previous experience in the material handling equipment industry would be a strong asset, but is not required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel within the region as needed is required
