We currently have an opening for a Planning & Project Management IT Analyst working in a hybrid capacity with some travel required.

Relocation assistance will be provided for this role.


The IT Analyst will hold comprehensive responsibility for the execution, enhancement, and upkeep of existing or new applications, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, and managing product lifecycles for Planning & Project Management.

Additionally, the analyst will act as a catalyst for change, ensuring that all stakeholders adhere to the detailed Planning & Project Management processes and procedures established by Air Products.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role entails defining requirements, analyzing applications, and designing functional specifications for new solutions.

A key aspect of this position is to collaborate effectively with the Air Products business sector to facilitate the successful implementation of new or enhanced functionalities and application modifications.


This position is accountable for the following:
Experience as an administrator on Omega 365, Primavera, or EcoSys.

Familiarity with Omega 365 is an added advantage.


Knowledge of EPC systems related to planning, scheduling, project controls, project management, document management, subcontract management, and Construction Management in the EPC sector, preferably in Oil and Gas.

Understanding the change implications of implementing Planning & Project Management throughout the project lifecycle.

Comprehensive knowledge of the entire application lifecycle from development through production and into support.


Deep technical insight into Planning & Project Management systems, processes, and data requirements, with a thorough understanding of Planning & Project Management terminology, roles, and responsibilities.

Prior experience in implementing and supporting Planning & Project Management systems for large-scale capital projects.


Provide technical guidance in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and deployment of new digital technology capabilities related to capital project construction, maintenance, bug fixes, and enhancements of those applications.


Strong working knowledge of applications utilized in large EPC projects, such as P6, Ecosys, Omega365, OpenText, Procore, Autodesk Build, O3, or similar.


Design and develop innovative solutions, including assessing the impact of new application requirements, gathering and documenting business needs, creating comprehensive functional specifications and data strategies, and ensuring that the new solution aligns with business objectives while adhering to standard Air Products Digital Technology directives.

Actively engage in design discussions and program functional reviews.

Maintain existing services, resolve incidents, and manage problems while meeting SLAs.

Collaborate with business owners, automation, and digital technology (IT) teams to ensure seamless execution of digital technology projects.


Work alongside the engineering automation team and enterprise architect to establish integration strategies and align with other Air Products tools.

Collaborate closely with Regional Project Automation Managers to ensure effective setup and support of tools.


Partner with the engineering automation team to develop automation procedures for software requirements, configuration, setup, deployment, and project close-out/archiving, including handover to Operations.

Gather, analyze, input, and compile information; submit required data and provide functional specifications to the application owner.


Participate in all project phases with accountability for eliciting, validating, and documenting business requirements that ensure added value to the client.

Create a testing strategy and ensure all functionalities are thoroughly tested prior to production deployment.


Collaborate with the Change and Release Management team to ensure representation and coordination of the project throughout the change and release process.

Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful completion of project deliverables.

Provide product/lifecycle, vendor, and contract management for supported applications.


Continuously strive for excellence in optimizing services and work processes, enhancing quality and reliability, and reducing overall costs.


Specific Job Functions of this position are:
Implement data and tools strategy for Planning & Project Management and execution.

Ensure that the project's Planning & Project Management procedures are comprehensive and current.


Be actively engaged in interactive planning sessions throughout all implementation phases and be prepared to address any issues related to processes and procedures.

Collaborate with the business to define workflows and processes for Planning & Project Management.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or engineering, or equivalent work experience.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Planning & Project Management, construction, and engineering applications, such as Omega365, Primavera, or EcoSys.

Up to 5+ years of IT or business experience, with a focus on requirements analysis preferred.

Demonstrated experience with related business activities within their functional expertise.

Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Able to work with minimal supervision.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong presentation skills and ability to lead workshops.

Robust vendor relationship and product management skills.

General understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service delivery methodology.

Project Management certification (PMP and/or PRINCE2) is an added advantage.

A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.

This role is considered a Safety Sensitive Position.
