As the Director of Advanced Learning, you will play a pivotal role in driving educational excellence within Seattle Public Schools.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and implementing innovative strategies to enhance student outcomes, aligning with district policies and state regulations.

Collaborating with leadership teams to ensure effective implementation of complex initiatives, including the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS).

Overseeing budget management and maintaining fiscal responsibility for the Advanced Learning department.

Providing consultation on legal and compliance matters, ensuring seamless operations.

This strategic position works closely with Department, central office, and school leaders to monitor the delivery of high-quality education, promoting equitable access for all students.

The Director of Advanced Learning is responsible for structuring identification, recruitment, referral, and eligibility processes for highly capable and advanced students.

This leader coordinates and evaluates support for HC and AL services, adapting curriculum to meet unique learning needs and collaborating with other departments to provide accessible services.
