About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our team at Housing Connector, a trailblazing tech-powered nonprofit on a mission to transform housing access for those who need it most.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the CEO to set the organization's financial strategy, driving financial health and operational efficiency across the organization.
  2. Lead the annual budgeting process, oversee all financial plans and budgets, and develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the executive team and board.
  3. Ensure compliance with federal grants and other regulatory requirements, providing financial insights and strategic counsel to senior leaders on the financial implications of their areas.
  4. Design, enhance, and implement systems and processes across the organization to improve efficiency and scalability, overseeing operational infrastructure and ensuring compliance with GAAP and government regulations.
  5. Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to organizational strategy and overseeing financial and operational functions, fostering a culture of inclusivity and belonging.
Requirements
  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in senior financial and operational leadership roles, with a proven track record in managing financial health and operational efficiency within a company, division, or nonprofit organization.
  • Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Proven expertise in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and providing insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Strong operational leadership experience with demonstrated success in implementing strategic plans and systems for scalability and efficiency.
  • Exceptional financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
