Business Development Manager

Wunderlich-Malec Services (WM) is a 100% employee-owned company with over 40 years of industry history. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities for WM targeting industrial controls, electrical and power engineering, mechanical engineering, and fabrication of systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source new contacts for business and initiate relationships with industrial clients
  • Establish new client accounts and maintain industry contacts leading to increased sales and long-term repeat business
  • Obtain leads from industry conferences, channel relationships, market reports, vendors, and other company sales personnel
  • Manage and report on sales pipeline using WM CRM tools (Salesforce)
  • Leverage technical knowledge of products to support client project understanding and positioning the WM team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
  • 10 years' experience in industry with a successful track record of project management, sales, senior engineering, control systems solutions, and/or system integration work
  • Knowledge of hardware and software applications and design, and previous experience with an A/E firm, Systems Integrator, or Engineering firm
