Job Summary

We are seeking a Client Manager & Leader to provide direct support to producers and internal team members, focusing on marketing new and renewal business. This role involves building proposals, binding coverage, and managing the renewal process. The ideal candidate will have a strong insurance background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team.

Key Responsibilities

    • Assist team in achieving business objectives

    • Conduct and/or facilitate annual performance review, career path/long-term personal development goals and compensation reviews
    • Ensure compliance with office policies and procedures
    • Maintain accurate and thorough job descriptions
    • Coordinate and facilitate Department meetings as needed

    • Work with SVP, CL Operations to research and develop products & services, direct resources and oversee implementation of procedures for department and staff

The Client Manager role requires a strong insurance background to act as a technical expert to producers and clients. Individuals may decide to grow technical skills to prepare for a more strategic, Account Executive Role, or become experts in the Client Manager role and train best practices to others.

Requirements
  • 4-year degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of Business Insurance customer service experience (or equivalent)
  • Experience leading a team
  • Understand insurance markets and coverages offered
  • CIC designation or equivalent, strongly preferred
  • Microsoft Office experience (strong math and Excel background)
  • AMS360 experience (desirable)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work responsibilities. Is a self-starter
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively work in a team. Set team deadlines and goals, delegate to others, and keep team environment motivating and fun
  • Obtain Minnesota Property and Casualty insurance license upon hire
