Role Summary:
The Assembly Team Lead will oversee a skilled group of assembly professionals, ensuring that operational goals and project objectives are met effectively. This position requires a proactive leader who can foster a collaborative environment while maintaining high standards of productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor a team of assembly workers, translating directives from management to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Manage project timelines and provide direction based on product specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Foster a culture of autonomy while promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Conduct training sessions for new employees and track their progress.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives using ITW's 80/20 tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Adjust daily schedules to meet production demands and ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Identify and address quality concerns on the production line, escalating issues to management as necessary.
  • Monitor team performance and attendance, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained and communicate any supply shortages to management.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss process improvements and quality enhancements.
  • Promote a respectful workplace culture that values diversity and encourages individual contributions towards achieving business goals.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in problem-solving and developing corrective action plans.
  • Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to step in for supervisory roles as needed.
