Key Responsibilities- Reads and interprets technical specifications, blueprints, and layouts to determine machining operations.
- Troubleshoots and debugs machining processes to achieve expected performance.
- Participates in continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and cell operations.
- Cross-trains in other complementary skills and seeks endorsements to support production requirements.
- Moves between production assignments to utilize multiple skills endorsements.
- Participates in the cross-training of other technicians to support production requirements.
- Ensures adherence to all applicable safety requirements and reports any unsafe practices or conditions.
- High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy, and precision.
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing, tool design, fabrication methods, and processes, metallurgy, and heat treating.
- Working knowledge of welding, hydraulics, electricity, and pneumatics.
- Proficiency in the operation of Manual VTL, Lathes, and Mills.
- Prior experience in machine set-ups and tool changes is preferred.
- Prior or current CNC experience is a plus.
