Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and innovative Quality Engineer - Adhesives to ensure our adhesive products meet the highest quality and compliance standards. This role involves hands-on evaluation and implementation of quality processes, statistical techniques, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance plans and procedures, collaborating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to promote quality awareness.
  • Implement effective Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans by analyzing quality issues and coaching team members on methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis and PFMEAs.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specified quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Enhance machinery and instrumentation performance through continuous calibration, testing, and modifications to meet customer specifications.
  • Streamline product manufacturing processes by validating production prior to commercialization and testing raw materials and finished goods.
  • Investigate customer issues and quality concerns to drive down the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) through effective corrective actions.
  • Establish quality and reliability benchmarks for products by analyzing statistical data and implementing Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in production processes by developing robust inspection and testing protocols.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to enhance responsiveness to quality initiatives and challenges.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, with a preference for chemical manufacturing.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems, particularly IATF and ISO9001.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with problem-solving techniques such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Minitab; experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and EtQ is a plus.
