Quality Assurance Validation Specialist

Ensures product acceptability, traceability, and documentation accuracy. Engages in diverse analytical auditing, inspection, and product support activities. Responsible for inspecting new tooling and components, implementing corrective actions, fostering continuous quality enhancement, and utilizing gaging instruments.
Collaborates closely with quality functions and departments to minimize variations in company-wide processes, ensuring quality products that meet all customer specifications.
Acts as a substitute in the absence of the QA Director.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishes the quality plan, defines characteristics, and designs fixtures for the inspection of new tooling and components; collaborates with customers and suppliers for decision-making and problem resolution; supports daily production while ensuring compliance with quality procedures; initiates corrective actions as needed.
Conducts various analytical, auditing, inspection, and product support tasks.
Designs measurement fixtures and reviews processes for continuous improvement.
Guarantees adherence to documentation and quality-specific procedures, as well as quality technical certification.
Provides inspection support across all levels in molding and assembly departments, including incoming inspections and tool evaluations.
Prepares first article data and characteristic accountability (PAPP)
Reviews material and processing certifications.
Trains personnel on quality-related tasks.
Participates in required training to achieve benchmark quality performance.
Performs tasks in a quality-focused manner to meet all internal and external customer requirements.
Conducts work safely and strives to achieve company safety objectives.
Acts as a substitute in the absence of the QA Director.
Proposes cost-saving initiatives and actively contributes to continuous improvement efforts.
Works towards achieving departmental and company objectives.
Undertakes other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Performs all duties and responsibilities of a Quality Engineer and Inspector, measuring and inspecting all dimensions on tools or parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
Recommends corrective actions on tools to meet specifications.
Conducts audits on molded parts during manufacturing, purchased parts upon receipt, or final audits on finished products as required.
Assists inspectors and setup personnel with inspection techniques.Engages in problem-solving for product/tooling issues as they arise, making recommendations for changes or adjustments.
Possesses working knowledge and proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Conducts audits on manufacturing production as assigned.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in high-pressure situations; attends required training to achieve benchmark quality performance.
Assists in training employees to perform quality tasks to meet production standards.Participates in ISO audits or Customer Audits.
TRAINING:
Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance policies, inspection procedures and techniques, measuring equipment related to tool evaluation and product layout inspection, and statistical analysis.
Familiarity with molding principles, SPC, Kaizen, PPAP, APQP, ISO 9001 audits, ECN, PGA, GD&T, CMM and VMM machines, computer applications, special processes, machining, and plastic molding injection.
Strong mathematical skills and understanding of statistics as they pertain to measurement.Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in blueprint interpretation and comprehensive understanding of GD&T.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with others in high-stress situations.
Teaching others is a crucial aspect of this role to enhance performance.
Ability to maintain accurate records and document data.
Familiarity with various automotive tools, Control Plans, PPAP processes, Gauge R&R, Capability Studies, and PFMEAs.
Understanding gear data and measurements is advantageous.
Ability to draft IQ, OQ, and PQ Medical Protocols and Reports.
Capability to compile and present PPAP Reports for customers.
Ability to comprehend, modify, recommend, and enhance measurement techniques as they relate to inspection or laboratory measurements.
A degree in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering, along with 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, plastic molding, or a related field.
