ROLE SUMMARY

The Marketing Compliance Specialist II plays a crucial role in ensuring that all marketing initiatives align with relevant laws and regulations. This position involves reviewing marketing materials and providing guidance to ensure compliance, while also supporting the Marketing Compliance Manager in maintaining adherence to industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough reviews and approvals of marketing content, including promotional materials, campaigns, and customer communications, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders, team members, and internal partners to facilitate effective compliance processes.
  • Stay informed about regulatory requirements, including those from the Federal Trade Commission and other relevant bodies, to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Participate in meetings with internal teams and partners to discuss compliance strategies and updates.
  • Assist in evaluating websites and mobile applications for regulatory adherence.
  • Monitor social media marketing efforts for compliance with established guidelines.
  • Provide expert advice on marketing compliance inquiries from various business units and partners.
  • Support the team with overflow tasks and perform secondary reviews of marketing materials as necessary.
  • Adapt to changing organizational needs by taking on additional responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • In-depth knowledge of financial services regulations related to advertising and promotions.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously in a remote team environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the capability to resolve issues independently.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor with a collaborative approach to conflict resolution.
  • Willingness to learn about new industries and regulatory changes.
  • Proficient in using technology for remote communication and meetings.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial regulatory compliance within a banking or fintech environment.
  • At least 3 years of overall experience in the banking or fintech sector.
