Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hospital Billing Supervisor to join our team at Riverside County, CA. As a key member of our Patient Access and Revenue Cycle department, you will be responsible for overseeing the billing and collections process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims to payers, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of billing and collections staff to ensure efficient and effective processing of claims.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve billing and collections processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with payers, providers, and other stakeholders to resolve billing and collections issues.
  • Monitor and analyze billing and collections metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on billing and collections procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public health, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a patient access or revenue cycle function, including billing and collections.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and Commercial insurance billing and collections processes.
  • Experience with EPIC Patient Accounting System and Clearing House reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business, public health, or a related field.
  • Experience with Optum Charge Expert and Assurance Claims Scrubber.
  • Knowledge of CMS guidelines and regulations.
