About This Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Medical Claims Analyst to join our team at UHS.

Job Summary

This role involves the accurate and timely processing of fee-for-service claims and account collections. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining necessary information for the proper billing and/or collections of fee-for-service accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, adjust and/or mail out all assigned tracer claims
  • Initiate claims review or appeals, as indicated on assigned explanation of benefits
  • Review, adjust and/or process all assigned correspondence
  • Display a professional attitude through performance, appearance and demeanor
  • Back up phones
  • Contact insurance carriers to check on claims status
  • Review Explanation of Medical benefits to verify accuracy of reimbursement
  • Verify insurance coverage
  • Initiate necessary account adjustments, change of charges or refunds, as indicated

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Three years Customer Service Skills, Two years experience medical billing, collections experience a plus
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
