Within our Camera Technologies team, you will contribute to the design of cutting-edge technology that empowers each generation of Apple products to capture even more stunning photographs than before. Your role will involve conceptualizing and developing pioneering ideas for all components of our camera systems, from sensors to lenses. You will work collaboratively with various teams across Apple to research, design, develop, test, and validate camera hardware for our products. Together, we will create a remarkable photography experience that transforms customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing advanced pixel technologies from international image sensor manufacturers.
- Partnering with global image sensor suppliers to innovate new image sensors for diverse applications.
- Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure comprehensive and accurate testing throughout all phases to guarantee optimal performance.
- Documenting and presenting findings to both internal and external engineering teams.
- Engaging in cross-functional collaboration to develop next-generation camera products and features.
Minimum Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
- Experience in image sensor pixel and sensor development, sensor characterization, sensor integration, and debugging, or wafer-level testing.
- Familiarity with image sensor technology, performance metrics, and integration into camera systems.
- Awareness of industry trends and technical challenges.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sensor usage to effectively support the camera team.
- Hands-on experience with silicon integration, sensor characterization, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, MATLAB, Excel).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with proven teamwork and leadership abilities.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base salary is just one component of our total compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. This structure allows for growth as you advance in your role. The base salary range for this position is between $143,100 and $264,200, with your salary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in our discretionary employee stock programs. Additionally, employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts on products and services, and reimbursement for educational expenses related to career advancement.
