Camera Systems Quality Assurance Engineer

As a member of our Camera Technologies team, you will contribute to the design of cutting-edge technology that empowers each generation of Apple products to capture stunning photos.

Your role will involve conceptualizing and developing pioneering ideas for all components of our camera systems, from sensors to lenses. You will collaborate with various teams within Apple to research, design, develop, test, and validate camera hardware for our products. Together, we will create an extraordinary photography experience that transforms expectations for millions of users.

The Camera Systems Engineering Group is tasked with the comprehensive analysis, design, and development of new camera features and technologies aimed at enhancing performance.

We are in search of a talented firmware validation engineer to design, implement, and maintain validation platforms.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement testing frameworks for camera system firmware validation and regression testing.
  • Deploy and support testing frameworks across multiple locations.
  • Generate detailed reports on testing outcomes.

Preferred Skills:
  • Expertise in Matlab/Simulink and Matlab GUIs.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience with version control systems and automated build processes.
  • Strong skills in statistical data analysis.
  • Familiarity with dynamic systems modeling and control is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of C/C++ programming and firmware development is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership of complex challenges and seeing them through to resolution.

Education & Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics) or equivalent qualifications.


Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a range. This structure allows for growth as you develop within your role. The base pay range for this position is between $175,800 and $312,200, with actual pay depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in our discretionary employee stock programs. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through our Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
