About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Grants Management Consultant to join our team at Guidehouse. As a Grants Management Consultant, you will play a critical role in advising clients on building and enhancing their grants management and financial assistance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to establish or enhance grants management processes and procedures across the entire grants lifecycle.
  • Help identify and proactively address client needs by presenting potential solutions to challenges or issues.
  • Participate in client discussions and meetings.
  • Effectively and concisely communicate and present information to clients and leadership.
  • Develop agendas, meeting materials, and talking points in preparation for meetings.
  • Develop high-quality presentations that effectively communicate key objectives and facilitate discussion across multiple stakeholders.
  • Develop and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Participate in business development activities.
  • General project/task management.
  • Participate in internal and external grants management-related training, knowledge management, and thought leadership activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3+ years' experience.
  • Experience in grants management roles either at a federal agency or consulting firm.
  • Thorough understanding of Uniform Guidance – 2 CFR 200, including Single Audit requirements, and its application to different types of financial assistance.
  • Ability to quickly understand ongoing processes to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into tangible documents and/or deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to identify and address client needs.
  • Advanced proficiency in the full Microsoft Suite, including MS Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
  • Ability to organize, perform, and track multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, Green Banks, or previous work in sustainability.
  • Prior experience helping to stand up or enhance full cycle grants management processes and procedures.
  • Prior experience in areas of risk management, internal controls, financial management, program management in federal government or non-profit organizations.
  • Grants Management certification from the National Grants Management Association or Management Concepts or other equivalent organizations.
  • Prior experience in supporting/performing grants management-related thought leadership/knowledge management actions – attending/organizing conferences/workshops, writing white papers and journal articles, etc.
  • Prior experience performing business development actions.
