Position Overview:

As a seasoned professional in the field of artificial intelligence, you understand the significance of machine learning in analyzing and interpreting extensive datasets. Your expertise in performing statistical evaluations on operational processes using machine learning methodologies positions you as a vital contributor to delivering tailored solutions for our clients in the defense sector. In the role of an Expert in Large Language Models, you will be responsible for training, testing, deploying, and maintaining models that derive insights from data.

Your Role:

As an Expert in Large Language Models, you will significantly enhance our defense clients' capabilities through the innovative use of artificial intelligence and large language models. This role encompasses the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI models specifically crafted to tackle the distinct challenges faced by the defense industry. Your responsibilities will include data management, algorithm development, and collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration of generative AI solutions into defense systems.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development and Bash scripting.
  • Familiarity with environments related to the Department of Defense, Intelligence, or Aerospace.
  • Proven experience in both fundamental and applied research, with a focus on innovative solutions for defense-related challenges.
  • Expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the entire machine learning lifecycle, from use case evaluation and data preparation to final delivery.
  • Proficiency in prompt engineering and related software, including LangChain.
  • Experience in building and fine-tuning large language models from the ground up.
  • Capability to operate an LLM in a secure, air-gapped environment.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark, as well as cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Background in the productization of prototypes.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI practices and LLM safety.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline solutions or tools, including GitLab.
  • Understanding of systems engineering methodologies.
  • Insight into system integrations and interoperability.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
