Position: Information Assurance/Security Specialist - Lead (Senior Level)

Role Overview: This position involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities aimed at establishing and maintaining information assurance and security standards. The successful candidate will:
- Define and enforce enterprise information assurance and security protocols.
- Develop and implement security standards and procedures while coordinating security programs across the organization.
- Advise on information assurance/security solutions tailored to meet client needs.
- Identify, document, and address security breaches and violations.
- Establish and fulfill information assurance and security requirements based on user analysis and regulatory demands.
- Support high-level clients in the formulation and execution of security policies and doctrines.
- Apply expertise to both general and specialized systems requiring enhanced security measures.
- Conduct analysis, design, and development of security features for various system architectures.
- Assess and define security requirements for diverse computing environments, including mainframes and personal computers.
- Facilitate the integration and implementation of security solutions for computer systems.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues related to information assurance.
- Perform vulnerability and risk assessments throughout the system development lifecycle to ensure operational security.
- Devise solutions aimed at enhancing information assurance effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to information assurance activities, including project milestones and quality control measures.
- Utilize automated systems for analytical and advisory functions in information assurance.
Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is required. A Bachelor’s degree combined with four years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a Master’s degree.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of ten years of practical experience in computer security, including secure network design and implementation.
- At least five years of management experience.
- Two years of experience in Vulnerability Assessment and/or Risk Analysis.
- Proven experience with RMF policies, FISMA compliance, and DISA STIGs.
- Relevant certifications in cybersecurity fields are required.
