Position Overview:

As a specialist in acquisition management, you understand the critical importance of both phases of the acquisition and contracts lifecycle for the success of our clients' missions. We are seeking a dedicated professional to serve as a key intermediary with government entities. Your enthusiasm for enhancing pre- and post-award federal contracts will play a vital role in fortifying our nation's defense.

In your role at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will collaborate closely with our defense partners to support the warfighter, facilitating the acquisition of essential resources to ensure mission success. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the defense acquisition and contracting landscape. You will be responsible for drafting and supporting program milestone documentation, ensuring adherence to all Department of Defense (DoD) and Service-level directives, while analyzing program methodologies, practices, and documentation for compliance with established specifications and mission requirements.

Your responsibilities will include preparing procurement request packages and ensuring the secure handling of sensitive information. You will provide expert guidance on all statutory, regulatory, and policy updates that impact project success. Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders will be crucial as you seek necessary approvals and deliver impactful acquisition support. You will work autonomously and may oversee the activities of junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in supporting a DoD acquisition program
  • 7+ years of experience in implementing DoD requirements and acquisition methodologies
  • Experience in DoD aviation or weapon system program development or production
  • Strong knowledge of cost, schedule, performance, and risk management
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in DoD acquisition
  • Experience with 5th Generation fighter acquisition, particularly F-35
  • Experience in a DoD classified program
  • Familiarity with DoD 5000 series policies, procedures, and processes
  • Understanding of DoD requirements and budgetary processes
  • Able to thrive in a high-pressure, visible program environment
  • Strong communication skills across multiple teams
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Master's degree
  • PMP or DAU Certification

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
