Snap-on Inc., a leading global manufacturer of tools and equipment, is seeking an Industrial Sales Manager to join our Industrial Business Group. This role will focus on representing our esteemed brand and products across various markets, specifically in New England, New York, and New Jersey. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and mentoring our sales team while also spearheading significant projects aimed at enhancing sales performance and meeting predefined sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Propel sales growth within the designated region to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Deliver training in sales techniques to Account Managers.
- Conduct onboarding training for new Account Managers.
- Assist Account Managers in managing project opportunities.
- Provide product knowledge and promotional training to Account Managers, ensuring they have the necessary materials for customer engagement.
- Formulate and execute sales, marketing, and operational strategies to bolster Snap-on's market presence.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key accounts.
- Schedule and lead regular meetings with Account Managers to offer guidance and support.
- Ensure adherence to corporate compliance standards.
- Complete all necessary reporting, including expense reports and documentation of customer interactions as directed by management.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales within the industrial tool sector, particularly in manufacturing or assembly.
- A proven track record of 3-5 years in leading and managing a remote sales team is essential.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals and fostering customer growth.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills are required.
- Strong project management capabilities, with a history of successfully completing large projects on schedule.
- Comfort in engaging with individuals at all organizational levels; familiarity with Snap-on products is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with various databases and sales systems is a plus.
- Must possess and maintain all necessary credentials, including a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, as well as the ability to obtain appropriate auto insurance.
- Physical requirements apply, and overnight travel will be necessary.
