Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to join our team at SAIC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level technical support and guidance on network systems and cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide break/fix IT support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Analyze complex network issues to identify effective resolutions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and suggest permanent configuration changes as necessary.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to troubleshoot intra-system issues and design integration solutions.
  • Deliver server break-fix and remote support for server, network, desktop, and peripheral equipment.
  • Guide customers on maintaining network systems and associated components for data, voice, and/or audio communication activities.
  • Participate in technical meetings, report on progress, create briefs, and deliver presentations.
  • Engage in integrated product teams and engineering/design reviews.
Requirements
  • Active Secret Clearance is a prerequisite.
  • Current U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Hold a valid DoD IAT Level II certification like CompTIA Security+.
  • Ability to acquire an additional certification such as CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, Linux+, VCP, or equivalent within 6 months of joining.
Desired Skills
  • Over a year of prior IT Helpdesk experience in a Windows call center setting.
  • Familiarity with Ticketing systems like HEAT, TrackIT, Magic, and others.
  • Experience in supporting Microsoft Office and Windows OS in an enterprise environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Database Software.
  • Understanding of Databases and knowledge Management tools.
  • Capable of tailoring reports from a database.
  • Strong customer service skills.
