Position: Avionics Technician

Overview:
The Avionics Technician is responsible for the installation of various units, components, and equipment in avionics assemblies, adhering to the provided blueprints and specifications.

This role involves the fabrication and assembly of prototype equipment for diverse military aircraft, with a strong familiarity with military technical manuals, technical orders, modification work orders, and blueprints.

The technician will collaborate closely with project engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle, offering technical support and assistance as needed.

Additionally, the technician will perform servicing, repairs, and overhauls on aircraft to maintain airworthiness standards.

The role includes the repair, replacement, and rebuilding of aircraft components, such as wiring harnesses, power distribution systems, and functional components including communication/navigation systems and flight control/aircraft monitoring systems. This is accomplished using hand tools, power tools, machinery, soldering irons, and connector installation tools.

Key responsibilities also involve reading and interpreting maintenance manuals, technical manuals, FAA FARs, and commercial aircraft manuals, as well as servicing batteries to ensure aircraft remain in safe operating conditions.

The technician will install units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assemblies, following blueprints and specifications, utilizing both hand and power tools.


Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma - Required
- Technical or Military School Training - Preferred

Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years of direct experience in avionics maintenance, primarily within the military aviation sector or equivalent military occupation specialty training.
