Typical Duties:
- Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, stripping, waxing, and vacuuming floors.
- Extract carpets and operate various cleaning equipment.
- Sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
- Dust and clean offices while ensuring the safety of documents and materials.
- Clean windows and mirrors at various heights.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling across multiple floors.
- Prepare cleaning solutions according to specified instructions.
- Respond to special cleaning requests and manage supply inventory.
- Maintain building security and perform periodic checks.
- Utilize basic computer skills for work order management and communication.
Requirements:
Graduation from high school or equivalent, along with some experience in janitorial practices, is preferred. The selected candidate must pass a criminal history background check and possess a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 75 lbs.
Public Service Loan Forgiveness:
Marion County qualifies for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, allowing eligible employees to potentially have their remaining loan balance forgiven after meeting specific criteria.
Veterans' Preference:
