Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Florida Medical Clinic. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring the smooth operation of our Proctology office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical functions, including preparing patients for examination and treatment
  • Collect and record patient vitals, medical history, and other relevant information
  • Administer injections and immunizations, and record them in our electronic health record system
  • Prepare and maintain medical supplies and equipment, including sterilizing and calibrating equipment
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of clinical supplies
  • Perform tests and procedures as directed by healthcare providers
  • Handle medication refill requests and obtain prescription overrides as needed
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding test results, instructions, and follow-up appointments
  • Enter charges for services rendered by the medical assistant into our Practice Management System
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including exam rooms and supply closets
  • Participate in maintenance of clinical supplies and equipment
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Completion of MA certification program
  • One year experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Strong team player with basic computer proficiency
