JOB SUMMARY

Wood PLC is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer with expertise in the offshore, midstream, and downstream sectors, particularly within the process and chemicals industries. This role involves serving as an owner's engineer, ensuring project success through effective management and technical oversight.

LOCATION

This position is intended for local candidates, as relocation assistance or per diem is not available. Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Engagement

  • Collaborate with client technical teams as necessary
  • Coordinate the collection of site data, including drawings and specifications

Safety & Quality Assurance

  • Support the Safety Objectives of the Client, Company, and Project
  • Assist in establishing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) protocols for site visits
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Project Execution Plan
  • Ensure adherence to approved work processes, procedures, and tools

Project Delivery

  • Assist in the preparation of technical deliverables for the project
  • Support cost estimation efforts
  • Help develop change orders
  • Review design documents, data sheets, and drawings
  • Facilitate design reviews and model coordination
  • Support project scheduling and establish design priorities
  • Set guidelines for equipment, drawing, and line numbering
  • Maintain equipment lists and provide requirements for paint, insulation, and fireproofing
  • Review line and tie-in lists, including hydrotest pressures and insulation needs
  • Review and approve piping isometrics
  • Prepare and manage requisitions for special items and equipment
  • Coordinate updates to P&IDs and maintain change logs
  • Update Action Item Lists
  • Review requisitions and technical bid tabulations
  • Assist in the development of inquiry requisitions and purchase orders
  • Coordinate Vendor Data and ensure timely receipt and review
  • Support the coordination of Construction Subcontract Scope of Work and Design Packages
  • Assist in the preparation of Project Data Books and Vendor Data Books

Project Communication & Information Management

  • Facilitate communication between Design Disciplines and Project Management
  • Provide necessary information to design disciplines
  • Enhance communication within the project team and design disciplines
QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, with a preference for Electrical Engineering
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the oil and gas sector
  • Proven ability to address technical challenges and provide solutions independently
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience in Blue Energy projects
