Intake Coordinator

Job Summary
The Intake Coordinator will play a critical role in assisting individuals and families experiencing a housing crisis in the Lincoln Trail and KIPDA regions. This position will work in tandem with other members of the VOA Home team to provide services and determine eligibility for programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine the eligibility of those who seek assistance by completing the screening forms during the initial interview;
- Process and prepare preliminary assessments of all very low income families referred to the KHC RRH Program;
- Make appropriate referrals to community partners and resource providers for crisis intervention and short term housing stabilization;
- Complete a screening over the phone and assign eligible participants to the applicable case manager;
- Enter enrolled clients into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS);
- Update and maintain all Excel spreadsheets or client trackers.
Requirements
- Must have knowledge of customer service skills;
- Previous telephone system experience and proficient computer skills;
- Well organized, self-starter, and able to work as a member of a team;
- Current valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
