POSITION SUMMARY: The role involves conducting comprehensive intake assessments, performing diagnostic psychosocial evaluations, and formulating treatment strategies for clients. The psychologist will administer psychological assessments and evaluations for a diverse population, including both adults and children, and will create tailored behavioral support plans.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. (Psy D.) in clinical or counseling psychology is required. A preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in psychological testing and behavioral therapy, particularly with individuals having developmental disabilities, serious mental illness, severe emotional disturbances, and special needs.
SKILL SETS: Candidates should possess strong computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and demonstrate trustworthiness and decisiveness. Additional competencies include being highly organized, possessing strong anticipatory planning skills, conflict resolution capabilities, and analytical thinking.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: The position requires visual acuity for updating records and completing documentation. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching are necessary for filing purposes. Effective hearing and speaking skills are essential for communication with colleagues and clients. The role necessitates walking, standing, and sitting, along with manual dexterity for computer-related tasks.
JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
- Engagement with NAMI, CAKY, and other regional MR/DD providers for collaborative community initiatives.
- Availability for PASRR consultations, evaluations, and approvals.
- Coordination of rehabilitation services on a regional level.
- Development and execution of strategic plans aimed at enhancing operational functions in partnership with administrative and clinical leadership as well as community partners.
- Interpretation and dissemination of regulatory information to relevant staff, ensuring adherence to customer and regulatory standards, and reporting impacts to the internal Quality System.
- Analysis of individual cases to determine appropriate actions within established practices.
- Facilitation of process control systems to meet quality and productivity benchmarks.
- Conducting Medical Services and Program Managers Meetings as required.
- Maintenance of public credentialing, group services, supervision, student/intern, core competency, and training records.
- Participation in the upkeep of the center's management and information systems concerning quality, compliance, and direct care access.
- Implementation of systems to monitor compliance with all regulatory bodies.
- Establishment of measurement systems to assess service process performance and outcomes.
- Involvement in studies evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of clinical procedures and direct care delivery.
- Administration of client satisfaction surveys across all program areas.
- Ensuring all programs comply with applicable federal and state licensure regulations and standards.
- Engagement in agency-wide continuing quality improvement (CQI) initiatives.
- Management of Rehabilitation On-Call Rosters for QMHPs and MDs.
- Execution of additional duties as assigned.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Compliance with Communicare, Inc. policies and procedures.
- Attendance at mandatory in-services and other required training/educational programs.
