Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for conducting comprehensive intake assessments, performing diagnostic psychosocial evaluations, and formulating individualized treatment plans for clients. This role includes administering psychological tests and evaluations for a diverse population of adults and children, as well as creating tailored behavioral support strategies.


QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. (Psy D.) in clinical or counseling psychology is required. Candidates should ideally possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in psychological testing and behavioral therapy, particularly with individuals having developmental disabilities, serious mental illness, severe emotional disturbances, and special needs.

SKILL SETS: Candidates must demonstrate proficient computer skills, exceptional oral and written communication abilities, and a trustworthy, articulate demeanor. Additional desirable skills include strong organizational capabilities, effective anticipatory planning, conflict resolution, and analytical thinking.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: The role necessitates visual acuity for managing files and completing documentation. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching are required for record-keeping. Effective hearing and verbal communication are essential for interacting with clients and colleagues. The position involves walking, standing, and sitting, with manual dexterity needed for computer operations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Engage with NAMI, CAKY, and other regional MR/DD providers to foster collaborative community initiatives.
  2. Provide timely PASRR consultations, evaluations, and approvals.
  3. Coordinate with Rehabilitation Services at the regional level.
  4. Develop and execute strategic plans aimed at enhancing operational functions in partnership with administrative and clinical leadership, as well as community partners.
  5. Interpret and communicate regulatory information to relevant staff, ensuring adherence to customer and regulatory standards, while reporting impacts to the internal Quality System.
  6. Assess individual cases to determine appropriate actions within established best practices.
  7. Facilitate the implementation of process control systems to meet quality and productivity benchmarks.
  8. Lead Medical Services and Program Managers Meetings as required.
  9. Maintain credentialing, group services, supervision, student/intern, core competency, and training documentation.
  10. Contribute to the upkeep of the center's management and information systems concerning quality, compliance, and direct care access.
  11. Establish systems to monitor compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  12. Implement performance measurement systems to evaluate service processes and outcomes.
  13. Participate in studies assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of clinical procedures, including screenings, assessments, treatment planning, service delivery, and referrals.
  14. Conduct client satisfaction surveys across all program areas.
  15. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state licensure regulations and standards for all programs.
  16. Engage in agency-wide continuing quality improvement (CQI) initiatives.
  17. Manage Rehabilitation On-Call Rosters for QMHPs and MDs.
  18. Perform additional duties as assigned.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Adhere to Communicare, Inc. policies and procedures.
  2. Participate in mandatory in-services and other required training and educational programs.
