POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for conducting comprehensive intake assessments, performing diagnostic psychosocial evaluations, and formulating individualized treatment plans for clients. This role includes administering psychological tests and evaluations for a diverse population of adults and children, as well as creating tailored behavioral support strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. (Psy D.) in clinical or counseling psychology is required. Candidates should ideally possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in psychological testing and behavioral therapy, particularly with individuals having developmental disabilities, serious mental illness, severe emotional disturbances, and special needs.
SKILL SETS: Candidates must demonstrate proficient computer skills, exceptional oral and written communication abilities, and a trustworthy, articulate demeanor. Additional desirable skills include strong organizational capabilities, effective anticipatory planning, conflict resolution, and analytical thinking.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: The role necessitates visual acuity for managing files and completing documentation. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching are required for record-keeping. Effective hearing and verbal communication are essential for interacting with clients and colleagues. The position involves walking, standing, and sitting, with manual dexterity needed for computer operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with NAMI, CAKY, and other regional MR/DD providers to foster collaborative community initiatives.
- Provide timely PASRR consultations, evaluations, and approvals.
- Coordinate with Rehabilitation Services at the regional level.
- Develop and execute strategic plans aimed at enhancing operational functions in partnership with administrative and clinical leadership, as well as community partners.
- Interpret and communicate regulatory information to relevant staff, ensuring adherence to customer and regulatory standards, while reporting impacts to the internal Quality System.
- Assess individual cases to determine appropriate actions within established best practices.
- Facilitate the implementation of process control systems to meet quality and productivity benchmarks.
- Lead Medical Services and Program Managers Meetings as required.
- Maintain credentialing, group services, supervision, student/intern, core competency, and training documentation.
- Contribute to the upkeep of the center's management and information systems concerning quality, compliance, and direct care access.
- Establish systems to monitor compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Implement performance measurement systems to evaluate service processes and outcomes.
- Participate in studies assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of clinical procedures, including screenings, assessments, treatment planning, service delivery, and referrals.
- Conduct client satisfaction surveys across all program areas.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state licensure regulations and standards for all programs.
- Engage in agency-wide continuing quality improvement (CQI) initiatives.
- Manage Rehabilitation On-Call Rosters for QMHPs and MDs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

- Participate in mandatory in-services and other required training and educational programs.
