Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $62,300-$71,450 per year, based on the hourly rate of $56.05-$65.55.

About the Role:
As a Medical Imaging Specialist at Northwell Health, you will be responsible for operating Computed Tomography (CT) equipment, preparing patients for examination, and ensuring that proper information has been obtained for the physician to make a diagnosis. Your duties will include maintaining required documentation, preparing patients for examination, and explaining procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepares patients for examination and explains procedures in a clear and concise manner
• Sets up equipment to administer the proper procedure in a timely fashion
• Ensures required consent forms have been obtained
• Prepares patient for exam by placing and positioning patient on exam table within the gantry
• Utilizes special devices to reduce exposure to ionizing radiation of radiosensitive areas

Requirements:
Vocational or Technical school Diploma, New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, Current ARRT Radiology registration, plus specialized certifications as needed. 1-3 years of technical experience required.
