Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Minimum of eight years of experience with U.S. export control legislation and regulations
- Proficient in evaluating legal contracts, identifying potential risks, and recommending solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree
- Ten years of pertinent experience
- Thorough understanding of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations
Job Overview:
Insight Global is in search of a Research Compliance and Export Control Administrator for a direct hire opportunity with a federal client in the Dayton area. The Senior UDRI Research Compliance and Export Control Administrator will be tasked with:
- Overseeing and managing UDRI's Research Ethics program, which includes directing training initiatives and monitoring the UDRI Ethics Hotline.
- Administering the University's export control compliance program, which involves reviewing contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to clarify export control requirements; enhancing export control awareness through training and policy formulation; and remaining updated on federal regulatory changes affecting ITAR, EAR, and other governmental regulations.
- Managing UDRI's conflict of interest disclosure compliance and aiding in the creation of conflict-of-interest management plans for UDRI personnel as necessary.
- Designing and delivering research compliance training sessions.
- Providing prompt guidance on various compliance and ethical matters related to UDRI-sponsored research.
- Collaborating with Research Institute leadership, the Office for Academic Research, and other University officials to ensure UDRI research activities adhere to government regulations and University policies.
- Cooperating with the University's Legal Affairs and Division of Audit, Risk & Compliance when needed to support independent investigations, audits, or other issues related to UDRI-sponsored research and research ethics.
