The Copper River Family of Companies is looking for a Compliance and Audit Readiness Specialist to assist in the Acquisition Business Systems Program Office with responses to both external and internal audits. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance in various audit areas. The specialist will conduct comprehensive analyses related to Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) initiatives, aimed at fulfilling the congressional requirement for fully auditable financial and information assurance documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer expert guidance to support multiple Department of the Air Force (DAF) and SAF/FM/AA IT System Audits, including FIAR and Information Technology audits.
- Engage with essential stakeholders and system communities to ensure the provision of complete, reliable, and timely information, prepared uniformly.
- Develop systems documentation, including narratives, risk assessments, and internal control worksheets that detail processes and risk control activities.
- Work collaboratively with the Program Office to address and resolve audit-related issues, evaluate financially relevant systems, and formulate corrective action plans.
Essential Qualifications:
- Clearance: Secret
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounting or auditing, with 3 years specifically in FIAR and SS/SIEM.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with information assurance processes relevant to Defense Business Systems is essential.
- Knowledge of government accounting standards and audit standards, as well as experience in business system audits.
- Understanding of DoD financial management practices and the ability to synthesize various information types into comprehensive audit documentation.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills are required to thrive in a dynamic environment.
