Job Overview

The Lead Manufacturing Specialist is accountable for managing designated supplier and customer initiatives, ensuring product compliance, process adherence, and quality enhancements in line with contractual and regulatory standards. This role involves providing technical direction to both internal and external stakeholders, team members, and clients. The specialist will focus on quality support for specific product lines with the aim of enhancing First Time Yield (FTY) and minimizing losses. Engagement with customers as necessary and support for all quality and continuous improvement efforts are key components of this position.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties
  • Align tasks with business priorities to ensure effective management
  • Oversee assigned suppliers to guarantee hardware compliance and process integrity
  • Engage with customers to support designated programs
  • Review and validate First Article Inspections
  • Facilitate daily quality and operations reporting through established business meetings
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and drive project completion
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports to meet business requirements
  • Establish quality control and inspection protocols
  • Provide training on production quality and inspection methodologies
  • Ensure products and services meet quality standards and regulatory obligations
  • Utilize historical data and analytical tools to develop effective solutions
  • Conduct root cause analysis (8D, 6M, 3x5 Whys) for identified issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality issues, verifying the effectiveness of corrective measures
  • Directly interface with customers to enhance their quality experience
  • Conduct audits as necessary to ensure compliance with customer specifications
  • Review and confirm adherence to customer drawings, specifications, and other technical documents, initiating actions as needed to ensure business success
  • Lead critical elements in all phases of APQP / PPAP activities.
Qualifications Required
  • For positions in the USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in supplier and customer programs ensuring product compliance. Minimum of 3 years of experience in supplier and customer programs driving product conformity.
