  • Job Summary:
  • We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist in planning and executing early childhood education experiences that promote healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with the director and teachers to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities, establish a program environment that promotes positive child and youth interactions, and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • This is a full-time position with a salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute early childhood education experiences with various materials to promote healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child.
  • Work with the director and teachers to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
  • Establish a program environment that promotes positive child and youth interactions with other children, youth, and adults.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports, including daily reports and program participation data.
  • Help prepare, arrange, and maintain indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials to accommodate daily schedule.
  • Maintain control of and account for whereabouts and safety of children at all times.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, or related field.
  • Two years of experience working with children in a group program, with a focus on early childhood education.
  • Ability to lift and carry 45+ pounds, walk, bend, and stoop, and stand on a routine basis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact professionally with staff, parents, and community members.
