Job Overview

Position Summary:

This role is integral to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various facilities, including office spaces, restrooms, break areas, and external grounds. The individual will also be responsible for minor maintenance tasks and ensuring the sanitation of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established procedures for sanitation and chemical management.
  • Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance of office environments, including restrooms, laboratories, and communal areas.
  • Maintain and update the Master Cleaning Schedule, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as caulking, painting, and pressure washing.
  • Identify and report any issues related to food safety and quality.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and management to ensure designated areas are thoroughly cleaned.
  • Work in conjunction with the operations team to uphold cleanliness standards at all times.
  • Execute sanitation procedures on equipment as necessary.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of facility grounds.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles, including forklifts and lifts.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other quality assurance protocols.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
  • Commit to food safety and quality system standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.

Qualifications:

A. Education and Experience:

  • Experience in a food production environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the food industry is advantageous.

B. Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in various situations.
  • Effective communication skills to understand and meet role expectations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage documentation effectively.
  • Basic understanding of necessary documentation processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Equipment Utilized:

  • Forklifts and other machinery for material handling and management.
  • Office equipment such as computers, printers, and calculators.
