Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Northern Kentucky University. As a Custodian, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our campus facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of cleaning services to ensure that all areas of the campus facilities are maintained at established sanitary standards.
  • Empty and clean waste cans, straighten and align desks, and clean chalkboards, whiteboards, and other surfaces.
  • Restock paper towels, toilet paper, and soap dispensers, and clean shower rooms, water fountains, and other facilities.
  • Respond to emergency calls and attend safety training sessions.
  • Report malfunctioning equipment, needed supplies, security concerns, and safety concerns to supervisory personnel.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to perform duties using medium to heavy physical exertion on a regularly recurring basis.
  • Ability to work any/all hours necessary, including weekends and outside normal working schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous custodial experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions

This is a pooled position used to collect potential applicants when a custodial opening is realized.
