Position Overview:

ASM Global, a premier provider of food and beverage solutions at various venues, is seeking a dedicated Bartender. This role is crucial for delivering exceptional catering services during events, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Bartender, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Arriving on time and dressed in the appropriate uniform as per the schedule.
• Following event-specific instructions provided by the Banquet Captain or Catering Manager.
• Welcoming guests with warmth and enthusiasm.
• Serving alcoholic beverages in accordance with company protocols.
• Providing accurate information regarding food and beverage options to guests.
• Assisting in the collection and return of bar equipment, including glassware and serving utensils.
• Preparing garnishes and specialty drinks as needed.
• Helping with the setup and arrangement of event spaces.
• Setting tables according to instructions from the Banquet Captain or Manager.
• Participating in pre-event meetings to discuss details.
• Delivering the highest standard of service in line with company expectations.
• Identifying and delivering drink orders promptly to guests.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Collaborating with food and beverage staff to enhance guest experiences.
• Reporting any guest concerns to the Manager or Banquet Captain.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues.
• Adhering to checklists and standard operating procedures.
• Ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area.
• Possessing comprehensive knowledge of menus and recipes.
• Continuously improving knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience at every event.
• Maintaining sanitation and proper food handling practices.
• Preparing the work area for opening, mid-shift, or closing as per company standards.
• Breaking down tables and equipment post-event and returning items to storage.
• Punching in on time, fully uniformed and ready to work.
• Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Role:

This position may involve overseeing certain departments and personnel, ensuring compliance with ASM Global's policies and relevant laws.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to engage positively with guests.
• Capability to manage high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding English.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a serving role.

Certifications:

Must possess TIPS or TEAM certification.

Physical Requirements:

The role demands the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
