Employee Relations Specialist

The Addison Group is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join their team in Washington, DC. This role will involve handling employee relations investigations and providing key HR support to maintain a fair and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead employee relations investigations and draft thorough reports on findings.
- Collaborate with HR leadership and legal teams to resolve employee complaints.
- Oversee timekeeping processes to ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll for hourly employees.
- Maintain HR-related documentation, ensuring data integrity and assisting in audits.
- Support HR compliance tasks, including policy updates, EEO reporting, and maintaining employee handbooks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources or a related field.
- At least 5 years of HR experience with a focus on employee investigations.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Strong analytical and multitasking skills with a focus on prioritization.
- PHR certification and experience in a nonprofit or union environment are a plus.
This role offers a competitive salary of $28-$31 per hour and a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. The position is a contract through March 2025, with the possibility to extend and/or convert.
