Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Grave Shift. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting the assets of our company and ensuring a safe environment for our employees and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce company security regulations, including challenging guest interactions, handling active threats, and assisting with evacuation procedures.
  • Protect the transfer of money, chips, and company assets, and provide a safe environment for our employees and guests.
  • Give directions and escort guests and employees as needed, and represent the company and its property to ensure all casino regulations are upheld at all times.
  • Patrol all sections of the casino and property, and make and conduct chip fills, marker transfers, and sensitivity key escorts.
  • Provide first aid, including CPR when necessary, and assist with lost and found.
  • Conduct interviews, investigate, and document all applicable incidents, and write reports as needed.
  • Act as a role model, presenting oneself as a credit to Grave Shift, and meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Enforce Project 21 policy and procedures, and monitor the area for underage gamblers.
  • Suggest players in Caesars Rewards, Caesars Rewards App, Play by CR, and Caesars Rewards Visa, and suggest products, services, and experiences to guests.
  • Respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations, and make rational decisions when handling guest and employee issues.
  • Must be able to physically restrain individuals when a condition of arrest exists, and able to suggest Caesars Rewards Loyalty Program to guests.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a Mississippi Gaming Permit issued by Mississippi Gaming Commission.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must pass a drug test, and previous guest service and security experience are desirable.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, and must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers, and maintain knowledge of current property events, promotions, and attractions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and able to work effectively in a team setting and independently.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance, and must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements.
  • Must be able to complete and pass multiple online training classes, and proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Grave Shift team members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Able to accept direction of Senior Leadership, and must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/First –aid certification.
Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands
  • High school graduate or GED is required.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to perform job.
  • Ability to tolerate cigarette and cigar smoke.
  • Responds to visual and aural cues.
  • Required to work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino, including the stairwells and elevators.
  • Able to tolerate a loud and noisy environment.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Able to sit, stoop, reach, and bend.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to remember specific details of incidents and persons.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and stressful situations.
