Nectar Markets is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Security Patrol Officer to join our team. As a Security Patrol Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security and integrity of our cannabis facility.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and Secure the Facility: Patrol the premises, monitor surveillance equipment, and inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to prevent theft and maintain security.
- Control Access: Monitor access in and out of the dispensary, ensuring compliance with state rules and regulations by following a strict check-in process and actively monitoring physical security.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Greet members in person or on the phone, schedule appointments, and oversee member intake and renewal procedures.
- Assist Dispensary Staff: Assist with controlling access to the facility by ID examination and verification, and assist with maintaining access logs of all visitors in compliance with state rules and regulations.
- Conduct Routine Patrols and Inspections: Conduct routine patrols and inspections of the dispensary and grounds, and monitor video surveillance systems when requested.
- Respond to Emergencies: In the event of an emergency, secure staff, visitors, and building, and act as liaison with local police or law enforcement.
- Prevent Losses and Damage: Inform violators of policy and procedure, and restrain trespassers to prevent losses and damage.
- Identify and Mitigate Security Risks: Detect, assess, and project security risks, and create solutions to best protect employees and customers.
- Document Incidents and Accidents: Maintain daily written and/or electronic tracking sheets, noting all activity on premises, and document any incidents or accidents, and report them to management.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2+ years' experience in private or public security, law enforcement, or other government security agencies.
- Skills: Ability to focus, attention to detail, ability to work effectively as a team member and independently, ability to communicate clearly and calmly, ability to remain calm in periods of high stress or unusual activity, ability to maintain confidentiality and absolute reliability and honesty.
- Physical Demands: Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet.
- Background Check: Complete a State/Federal background check and fingerprinting.
This role starts at $20 an hour. Compensation for this role will vary depending on the candidate's level of experience. Benefits include Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, paid time off, an FSA account, and an EAP (employee assistance program).
