Ballpark of the Palm Beaches In-Game Host

The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches is seeking a highly energetic and charismatic In-Game Host to join our team for the 2022 Spring Training season. As a key member of our entertainment team, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and entertaining experience for our fans.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a live, in-stadium host at Houston Astros home games.
- Display confidence on camera and conduct fan interviews and execute promotional elements with guests.
- Contribute to the in-game entertainment atmosphere by generating ideas for features.
- Seamlessly connect relevant baseball information during the in-game production as related to Houston Astros baseball.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience hosting live sporting events.
- Demo Reel showing previous hosting engagements.
- An outgoing personality, great voice, and above-average presentation skills.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- Ability to perform well and maintain professional composure, appearance, and demeanor always, while under a wide range of stressors or circumstances.
- Ability to work all Astros Spring Training home games.
- Experienced at finding new ways to deliver a feature.
- Ability to build, maintain, and grow your audience through personality, hosting style, and overall presentation.
- Fundamental knowledge of the Houston Astros, Major League Baseball, and community.
- Ability to work a varied schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
The position will work in an office and stadium environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment. Must be able to work in all types of outdoor weather conditions and within a stadium environment.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, and hear. The vision requirement includes close vision and ability to adjust focus. Nature of position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
